Near year-round sunshine, charming villages and exciting coastlines – Cyprus is an incredibly welcoming place to go on holiday. Cyprus ticks virtually every box when it comes to holiday type and options. One of the specialist activity areas that is growing is golf.

Whether in the hills above Paphos, (Minthis Hills, Tsada), Aphrodites Rock (Secret Valley), on the outskirts of Larnaka and Limassol, most of Cyprus’ golf courses enjoy incredible Mediterranean vistas – so even if your round is not going the way you would like it to, the view will be incredible.

We have put together a map highlighting some of Cyprus’ best golf courses – if you want more information on Sunvil’s Cyprus holidays, please see our Cyprus information here.

Golf Courses in Cyprus

These are not all just holiday courses though, whilst there are clubs for golfers of any level, the island also hosts a couple of world-class courses. Minthis Hills, in the hills above Paphos, is the country’s oldest golf club and was laid out by leading architect, Donald Steel, in two loops of nine, 500 metres above sea-level. A handicap (and proof thereof) is required for this course.  The challenging 71-par course of the Elea Estate is another world-class course, opened in 2010. Designed by golf legend, Sir Nick Faldo, it incorporates the natural features of its surroundings to make an unforgettable course.

With several new courses under construction at the moment, Cyprus is fast becoming the go-to place for golfing holidays in the eastern Mediterranean. Whether you have a great handicap or are just starting out, there are courses to suit every level.
